beat around the bush - พูดอ้อมค้อมวกวนStop beating around the bush. Tell me what happened to my car.
clear the air - ขจัดความเข้าใจผิดหรือความโกรธA: Are you and your wife still angry at each other?B: No. We cleared the air.
down in the dumps - รู้สึกท้อถอย / ท้อแท้Jonathan is down in the dumps because he lost his job.
eager beaver - ขยันเป็นพิเศษThe teacher likes Gabrielle because she is an eager beaver.
fly off the handle - โมโหMy boyfriend flew off the handle when I forgot his birthday.
get on one's nerves - สร้างความรำคาญYour singing gets on my nerves.
